Dr. Laxmidutta Shukla has been practising classical Ayurveda in Thane for over 40 years. Designated Rashtriya Guru 2025 by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Patients visit from Thane, Kalyan, Mira Road, Bhiwandi, Dombivli and Navi Mumbai.
Rishi Ayurvedics has been at Brindavan Society, Thane West for over four decades — long before Ayurveda became fashionable. Dr. Laxmidutta Shukla opened this clinic after a distinguished academic career at Banaras Hindu University (BAMS Gold Medallist, 1972; MD Ayurveda, 1976) and 31 years of teaching at Smt. KGMP Ayurvedic Medical College, Mumbai, where he retired as Principal in 2007.
In 2025, the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India designated Dr. Shukla as Rashtriya Guru 2025 at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi — one of the highest national honours in Ayurveda. He is also a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from Mumbai Vaidya Sabha, BHU (Kashi Kaya Sangamam 2026), and multiple national Ayurvedic bodies.
The clinic has never advertised. Every patient over four decades has come through word of mouth — a neighbour, a family member, a patient who got better. That is the only recommendation that has ever mattered here.
While the clinic is located at Brindavan Society in Thane West, patients regularly travel from Kalyan, Dombivli, Mira Road, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, Ambarnath, and Navi Mumbai — all within 50 km. The clinic is easily accessible from Ghodbunder Road, Majiwada, Hiranandani Estate, Manpada, Kolshet, and Thane Station.
Designated by the Government of India at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi — the same venue where national awards are conferred. One of the highest honours in Indian medicine, awarded to exceptional practitioners by the Ministry of Ayush.
BAMS Gold Medallist from Banaras Hindu University (1972) — India's most revered centre of classical Ayurvedic learning. MD Ayurveda (BHU, 1976). Retired Principal of KGMP Ayurvedic College, Mumbai. 50+ research publications. MD/PhD guide to 20+ students.
Dr. Shukla is one of very few active Jalauka (leech therapy) specialists in Maharashtra — a rare classical Raktamokshana procedure for DVT, psoriasis, varicose veins, and non-healing wounds. He also practises full classical Panchakarma for deep detoxification and rejuvenation.
Dr. Shukla treats a comprehensive range of acute and chronic conditions using classical Ayurvedic protocols. Here is what patients visit the clinic for most frequently.
Many patients have never visited an Ayurvedic clinic before. Here is exactly what a first consultation at Rishi Ayurvedics looks like — so you know what to expect.
There are no forms to fill, no lengthy registration, and no waiting for referrals. Simply book via WhatsApp and come in during clinic hours.
The consultation begins with Nadi Pariksha — classical pulse diagnosis. Dr. Shukla places three fingers on your wrist and reads your body's current state: the dominant dosha, the strength of Agni, and the nature of the imbalance. This alone reveals information about your condition that no blood test can.
Dr. Shukla will ask about your primary complaint, how long you've had it, what treatments you've tried, your diet, sleep, and daily routine. He listens carefully — a first consultation typically lasts 20–30 minutes.
Your condition will be explained in terms of both Ayurvedic understanding (which dosha is involved, what the root cause is) and its modern clinical context. Dr. Shukla has decades of experience integrating classical Ayurvedic diagnosis with modern medical knowledge.
A personalised prescription is written — specific herbal formulations in specific doses, dietary guidance, and lifestyle recommendations. If Panchakarma or Jalauka is indicated, this will be discussed and scheduled separately.
Patients are asked to return for a follow-up after 4–6 weeks. Dr. Shukla monitors progress carefully, adjusting the prescription as the condition evolves. Most chronic conditions show meaningful improvement within 2–3 months.
In a city with hundreds of Ayurvedic clinics, here is why patients from across the MMR region consistently come to this one.
Dr. Shukla spent 32 years teaching and training Ayurvedic doctors before them. He guided 20+ MD and PhD students at Mumbai University. When you consult him, you are seeing the person who trained the doctors who trained today's practitioners.
No two patients at Rishi Ayurvedics receive the same prescription — even with the same diagnosis. Every treatment is derived from scratch, based on your unique Prakriti, your specific imbalance, and your current state of health.
Jalauka leech therapy and full classical Panchakarma are not available at most Ayurvedic clinics. Dr. Shukla's mastery of these rare procedures means patients with DVT, severe psoriasis, and chronic conditions have access to treatments unavailable elsewhere in Thane.
Rashtriya Guru 2025 — Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Multiple Lifetime Achievement awards from national Ayurvedic bodies. This is not marketing — it is the national Ayurvedic establishment's own verification of a lifetime of contribution.
You don't need a referral or a long form. Simply send a WhatsApp message mentioning your condition and we will confirm your appointment — usually within the hour during clinic hours.
